Now seeking re-election, Constable Hammond is committed to continuing the mission she began putting COMMUNITY “BACK IN” POLICING. Her leadership remains rooted in visibility, accountability, and authentic engagement with the residents she proudly serves.
From championing transparency in law enforcement to actively partnering with community leaders and legal stakeholders, Constable Hammond ensures that the people of Precinct 2 have a voice that is not only heard, but respected.
Democrat Deanna Hammond made history in 2022, when she was elected Constable of Dallas County Precinct 2, earning the trust of voters with 63% of the vote during the primary election and 53% of the vote during the general election.
It’s that time again and what an incredible first term it has been as your Constable of Dallas County Precinct 2. From day one, I committed to bringing change, and I am proud to say that we have made real progress together. Now, I am seeking re-election to continue the important work we have started.
I am an agent for change, and my platform has always centered on putting community “Back In” policing. I firmly believe in and continue to advocate for community policing as the cornerstone of modern law enforcement. By spending more time within the neighborhoods we serve and listening to the voices of our constituents, we have strengthened relationships, restored trust, and enhanced safety throughout our precinct.
My vision is to continue building a community policing model where law enforcement and the public are active partners in shaping safer, stronger neighborhoods. As your Constable, I will remain committed to leading a team of positive change one that upholds dignity and respect even in the most difficult duties, such as serving warrants, civil and criminal summons, subpoenas, or executing writs of possession.
We have laid a strong foundation. Now, I ask for your continued support so we can move forward together.
As I seek re-election as your Constable, my commitment to community-first leadership remains stronger than ever. The priorities I ran on are not just promises, they are the foundation of the work we have already begun and will continue to build upon in my next term:
An empowered community is a stronger community. I will continue to educate and involve residents through outreach, education, and open dialogue, ensuring their voices shape the future of public safety in Precinct 2.
Bridging the gap starts with mutual respect. I remain committed to creating spaces for conversation and understanding, where residents and deputies can learn from one another and work together for safer, more united neighborhoods.
Positive early interactions with law enforcement build lifelong respect and cooperation. I will expand our school and community engagement efforts by partnering with local organizations to develop mentorships, internships, and after-school programs that support youth success.
Preventive education is key to justice. I will keep providing residents with the knowledge they need, ensuring our community knows their rights, options, and resources.
From town halls and newsletters to social media, community seminars, and local broadcasts, I will continue making communication a top priority, keeping you informed, engaged, and heard.
